Happy birthday to you AirVPN! @Staff: For a specific reason, I needed to use AirVPN with an older version of OpenVPN (2.3.7). I tried to generate openVPN configuration generator in the client area and found it is possible to generate them for the max openvpn version 2.4. Is there a way to generate and use the openvpn configuration files for OpenVPN 2.3.7?. I tried using the generated config files in the openvpn version 2.3.7 but was not able to connect. Appreciate your guidance and help.

Could be the network of your datacenter. Or is it self-hosted at home on your own hardware? -

Youtube still runs great if you pick the right server. I watch all the time without those popups and I am not signed in (guest). I sure as hell won't say which ones because they likely read here. -

Hello! Today we're starting AirVPN 15th Birthday celebrations with big discounts on longer term plans. From a two servers service located in a single country providing a handful of Mbit/s, the baby has grown up to a wide infrastructure in 23 countries on four continents! AirVPN is now one of the few major consumer VPNs that is still independent. In other words, it is not owned by large corporations with diverse interests that interfere through editorial publications or conflict with privacy protection. Since our 14th birthday celebration, our customer base has grown impressively, and we would like to thank all the old and new customers who chose or confirmed AirVPN. AirVPN has focused on comprehensive enhancements, including: line and server expansion to accommodate the outstanding customer growth. The infrastructure can now deliver up to 970,000 Mbit/s. Compared to the 694,000 Mbit/s available in May 2024, this is a 39.7% increase in a single year yet another thorough rewrite of remote inbound port forwarding logic to offer greater convenience and true scalability. The new implementation was designed to meet the growing demand for remote inbound port forwarding the unlimited traffic quota for every and each customer subscription plan has never been modified On the software side: all AirVPN applications and libraries are free and open source software released under GPLv3 new, greatly improved Eddie Desktop and Eddie Android editions Eddie Android edition implements a new community request: an opt-in GPS spoofing feature integrated with the infrastructure in order to provide coordinates consistent with the location of the VPN server the device is connected to Eddie Desktop edition new version included several bug fixes and the new CLI edition is built on .NET7. Thus, it no longer needs Mono (Linux, macOS) and is built without Xamarin (macOS) the development of traffic splitting features on an application basis, already available in AirVPN Eddie Android and Android TV edition, and implemented on the AirVPN Suite for Linux last year, has been improved together with the new Suite features during the year long internal and community tests the OpenVPN3-AirVPN library is actively maintained as usual. If you're already our customer and you wish to extend your stay, any additional subscription will be added to your existing subscriptions and you won't lose any days. Check the promotional prices here: https://airvpn.org/buy Promotion will end on June the 12th, 2025 (UTC). Kind regards and datalove AirVPN Staff

Hi! I am trying to run qBittorrent off my headless Raspberry Pi, connected with AirVPN. Without VPN, torrenting has been working, however it has stopped working once connected with AirVPN. I am using a headless Raspberry Pi and connected with eddie-cli. I have logged in and confirmed that I can connect to websites with the VPN running. I am using qBittorrent via the Web UI, and I have bound the adaptor to Eddie. I have enabled AirVPN port forwarding in the Client Area and set qBittorrent to listen on the same port, and enabled this port through my firewall. I am honestly stuck on how to continue troubleshooting - any advice on troubleshooting qBittorrent and AirVPN via the command line would be very appreciated!

Not connecting to selected server with Config Generator
Staff replied to jcharley's topic in Troubleshooting and Problems
Hello! A possible explanation: some docker instances such as GlueTun offer an AirVPN integration and ignore parts of the OpenVPN or WireGuard profile. Please check whether this thread applies to your case: https://airvpn.org/forums/topic/67862-random-connections-to-different-cities-with-a-specific-city-vpn/?do=findComment&comment=245613 Kind regards -
I am having issues using Airvpn with in docker with qbittorrent. I have used the config generator and opened the port in airvpn, however my issue is that I am not connecting to the server that I selected when using the config generator. I am selecting a specific server in the US and when i check my sessions, it shows me connected to a server in Sweden.

Hello, This is still about the driver issue. By default, Eddie checks the option "Remove adapter when session ends" in the Networking settings. This means that when the OpenVPN connection is disconnected, the Eddie program will not only remove the tunnel but also uninstall the Eddie Tunnel network adapter driver. The next time you connect, Eddie will reload the driver. On Windows, reloading the same driver means the system loads multiple instances of it. To differentiate between them, Windows helpfully adds a number to the network adapter name, such as "Eddie 99." Of course, this number doesn’t keep increasing indefinitely—it caps at 99. After "Eddie 99," the next increment rolls back to "Eddie 1." Obviously, this doesn’t affect normal usage. If this detail bothers you, you can uncheck the "Remove adapter when session ends" option in the Networking settings. However, after unchecking it, you’ll receive a warning from Eddie (in version 2.24.6), which can be annoying. Note that Eddie 2.21.8 does not issue this warning. I also hope future versions of Eddie will remove this warning. Hope this helps!

I had this a couple of years ago. I opened a ticket but there was no resolution given by staff. The incrementing number didn't affect the connection, but it was annoying. I discovered the incrementing stopped after I changed the protocol in Eddie settings to WireGuard.

I would like to inquire whether your service offers port forwarding capabilities that would allow me to: Host a website on a specific port. Run an FTP service on a different port. Receive other specialized connections on custom ports. Additionally, I would like to know if these features are available without any limitations or quotas, especially on your monthly plan.

Hello, I've never had any serious issues with AirVPN, just occasional refusals to connect to a few websites. But since 2-3 (?) days ago, I can't connect to any of my own sites hosted on my OWN server anymore! Unless I've been totally unaware of my own actions, I didn't change anything on the server though, I think I didn't even run an update within that timeframe (last one was about 1-2 weeks ago). When I turn off AirVPN, I can connect to my websites just fine. When I turn it on again, timeout & no connection. The server runs on Debian managed by Plesk. I have added an AirVPN IP that I often use to Fail2Ban's whitelist, but that didn't change anything. I can't even connect to Plesk on my server when AirVPN runs. Any help greatly appreciated......

I do not get good speeds with Toronto / Montreal servers. I do not get good speeds even with Wurren (10G server in Toronto). Are there any plans to have new 10 G servers like we just got for NY?

New User-Eddie is being seen as malware

As commented in your Reddit post, one or two vendors flagging something does not mean it's universally bad. And don't be "unsettled by these events", you are really interpreting the VirusTotal results the wrong way. In any case, older versions can be downloaded via Downloads. Click Other versions and select one.
